Neonatal Registry
Neonatal Diabetes: a rare disease that affects children under 12 months of age.
The Neonatal Diabetes Registry is the first national registry for neonatal diabetes in the United States. It was developed by the University of Chicago under the direction of Siri Atma Greeley, MD, PhD and has been sponsored by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Through this research, we hope to learn more about how many people have neonatal diabetes, why and how it happens and how best to treat it.
Do you or your child have diabetes that was first diagnosed under the age of 12 months?
If YES...
- Download our consent documents to learn more about our research study.
- Register if you are interested in participating or would like more information.
If you are a physician who is currently treating a patient who was diagnosed with diabetes under the age of 12 months, please direct the family to this website so they may consider participating.
Our consent documents fully explain the study. We will go through the consent procedure with patients interested in participating.
If your patient completes the consent process, you will receive an email invitation to provide more information. We will also contact you to review the consent form for your voluntary participation in a discussion forum only for Registry participants.
If you do not qualify for participation in this research study, we thank you for your interest and invite you to learn more about neonatal diabetes by exploring our website, or by contacting us for more information.
Funding for this study has been provided by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.
